Silent Hill, Pyramid Head, and bloody nurses

I love Pyramid Head. The entire idea of violent sexuality, terrifying and bloody, has always appealed to me. What is in the game seems a lot more raw than what the Silent Hill movie had and both of them were mild compared to some of the porn (written and visual) you can find on the Internet.

The gender bending version of Pyramid Head… oh yummy.

Not really. From what I’ve read and see, Pyramid Head represents repressed sexuality. The angry bitterness that refuses to allow itself to be taken. In the main character’s point, kind of like a sexual Hulk.

He does rip someone’s skin off in the movie, but that is kind of divorced from the games itself.

I played Resident Evil once. Got my corpse raped by zombies repeatedly given the number of times I died. But, I remember walking down a hallway and looking at a large stain glass window.

“Something is going to jump out of this.”

I’d inch up to it, nope. A little bit more. Nope. Finally, going 1 cm/hour (it felt like), I got to that magic scripted point and the zombie dogs came out. I hated that scripted point. I mean, I agree. If I play a suspense game, I want to not know it is coming.

That and permadeath. You die, you start over. That would make it scary (and annoying). With the random factor though, it might be interesting.

Oblivion had that. They created a model with nipples, then “welded” the outfit on the figures. In effect, you could change the skin and still not see it. But, if you take the model, modify the individual vertexes to remove that welding, then add the skin to add the color to the nipples, then the ERSB rerates it as “hidden” content.

But, that said, I run with the naked mods constantly and enjoy the dicks and breasts because guess what? half of us have one set or the other.

But, I’d just write the game so it doesn’t get an ERSB rating.
