[quote:1kkcpqxl]Whitaker, 29, is on the registry for having consensual oral sex with a classmate three weeks before his 16th birthday. Whitaker had just turned 17. Both were high school sophomores.

Because of her 1997 sodomy conviction, Whitaker must register as a sex offender for life and comply with the law’s residency restrictions that bar her from living within 1,000 feet of designated areas where children congregate.[/quote:1kkcpqxl]

Much of the articles talk about Whittaker buying a new house, then finding out there was unadvertised child care in a church within 1,000 feet, so she is being evicted from her house because she is a sex offender for life. I don’t know the full story, but the idea of being a sex offender for life for a blowjob from an underaged kid (regardless of her age) is really showing how obsessive people are getting to protecting the children, even from themselves.

Its also sad because who you are when you are 17 has very little to do when you are 29, 39, or 49.
