Review of Online Predators

An interesting survey that finds out that most predators aren’t how they are protrayed in the news. Gasp and shock, but there are some really interesting little tibits in here.

Yeah, perceptions are a nasty problem. The problem is, “saving children” is one of those issues where you really can’t fight again. Because the situation is set up that if you are again protecting children, you are “throwing them to the horrible predators on the Internet, the mall, etc.” It doesn’t matter about rights, it’s about children being the most precious thing.

And I don’t like it.

I have absolutely no desire to meet up with some young thing from the Internet. But, I hate that it is a shadow over those writers who do delve into that topic. Or, say, I want to talk about my own sexuality (I lost my virginity at 13).
