Medical Images and Porn

Someone once told me an interesting story of how they were always interesting in death as a child. But, they couldn’t see any, so they would go to the library and look up books on autopsies. I saw the same with my crime scene investigation books, there was a enough in there to appeal to that sense of fascination or even death. This article is kind of the same thing. People want to see the sexual parts of others (and slightly more on children), so they end up finding medical sites. It really is the Internet version of looking up medical research books.

It also points out that people will find a way. If you make sexuality illegal, then people will find another way to get their sexual thrills. Make public nudity illegal, then nudist camps show up. Apparently in Canada, it is legal for a woman to go topless, but most still don’t.

It makes me wonder if making a rule against something ever makes something go away? Or just it simply stay strong, but hidden.
