Fur Bashing

I will admit, I find the [url=http://tsade.com/Afternoon_Hunting:1xoyaol4]furry side of sexuality[/url:1xoyaol4] to be lovely. I love the idea of anthropomorphics going at it and the interplay of species and how it impacts the character. But, somehow furries have turned into the beating bags of many sides of the Internet. One of the forums I post on occasion, [url=http://7chan.org/:1xoyaol4]7chan[/url:1xoyaol4] has explicit rules against furries, but somehow catgirls are perfectly fine. But, change those cat ears into fox and, well, you’re banned.

Now, the comic above is by one of my favorite technical comics, [url=http://xkcd.com:1xoyaol4]xkcd[/url:1xoyaol4]. It has a lot of lovely programming, romance, and intellectual jokes. I like it, not only for the color balance, the simplicity, but also the humor.

In other news, one of my favorite furry sex comics, Pink Mouse, is disappearing from the Internet. It was shut down a few years ago and the site and mailing list have been fading quickly, but today, Shane finally pulled the plug. I can understand it, but it’s sad.

I’ll admit, I’m not fond of Shane’s more recent work, but Pink Mouse has a [url=http://tsade.com/Shayla_The_Pink_Mouse:_Birthday_Dreams:1xoyaol4]special place[/url:1xoyaol4] in [url=http://tsade.com/Shayla_The_Pink_Mouse:_Sword_Lessons:1xoyaol4]my heart[/url:1xoyaol4]. It had such humor and joy in it, and i hope he puts up the archive somewhere.

Meat bags? Things to punch? English descriptions kind of failed me, but take 7chan for an example. They allow just about anything, but not furries. You have other places that are also equally open, but absolutely refuse to let furries in. It feels like they are saying “no matter how horrible we are, at least we aren’t furries.”

And I’m not fond of that.

Now, the reason I post on 7chan is feedback. I get a bit more of that there, and I’m always hungry for comments on my stories.

I consider the chans to be the least common demonitor. There are interesting things, I prefer the elit’s of 7chan and 3chanlit because of feedback while writing, but otherwises, one in a thousand pictures pushes a button.
