Bus Driver v. Teenage Lesbians
I’m actually pretty happy about this one. Two 14 year old lesbians were making out (kissing) on a bus and the local bus driver kicked them off. When people raised a stint about it, he is getting in trouble for violating the rules and basically the lesbians are in the right. While the article implies that the bus drive might only get a smack on the wrist, it is nice to see that lesbians (and gays) are more accepted in society.

I believe the main reason the bus driver is getting in trouble is because he violated the company policies. And public transportation, at least in my area, is owned by a semi-public company. MTA, like the US post office, is one of those public/private organizations.
I like the bus and the train. You meet so many interesting people there if you are willing to chat with strangers.

blink In all the years of flying, I have never heard of a pilot getting applauded. Usually it is closer to this:
“Welcome to Chicago, please wait until the plane-”
Everyone stands up.
“-comes to a complete-”
Everyone starts to pull stuff out of the overhead compartments.
"-stop before getting out of your seat.”
People are waiting to be let out.
I loved the train ride into the Loop from Elgin. Yeah, it was two hours one way, but I wrote Mummy’s Girl because I had the time.
Maybe it’s an European thing. I had to endure it each time when I took a plane on vacation.
Maybe. I don’t remember it when I flew into London or Paris. Oh well, maybe they are just happy to live.
