Winning the race with death - Emily's Question!
Here is something that has guided my life. It is from Thornton Wilder’s [b:3sl3m2m3][u:3sl3m2m3]Our Town[/u:3sl3m2m3][/b:3sl3m2m3].
Emily: [i:3sl3m2m3] Goodbye, world. Goodbye, Grovers Corners Mama and Papa. Goodbye to clocks ticking and Mamas sunflowers. And food and coffee. And new ironed dresses and hot baths and sleeping and waking up. Oh, earth, youre too wonderful for anybody to realize you! [/i:3sl3m2m3]
Emily: [i:3sl3m2m3] Do any human beings ever realize life while they live itevery, every minute?[/i:3sl3m2m3]
Stage Mgr: [i:3sl3m2m3]No. The saints and poets, maybethey do some.[/i:3sl3m2m3]
This has made me realize it, so I though I would share.
