One of those things I've noticed among my friends in their 20's to 30's is a general backlash on the holiday giving season most of us call Christmas. A few of them have completely turned their backs on it, partially for religious reasons and partially because of obsessive commercialism. This is one of those sites, commentaries, that kind of reflections that and is related, at least in my mind's eye, to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The obsessive commercialism makes me dislike this time of year, but I still celebrate Christmas by giving a few token gifts or cards to close family and friends.  I just hate that people act the way they do when supposedly this is supposed to be a time of "peace on earth" and "good will toward men" when usually the opposite is the case.  That, and really those ideals should be touted year-round.

Christmas is a time to party! This includes eating and drinking.....or, for some, drinking and eating. Excessive commercialism and religion aside, its still a fun time.

If you don't believe in God, or an afterlife, then gotta make the best of the present, that means......
