Bought a game from MLB last year? You're screwed.

The MLB lets you buy games online and watch them when you want. Well, they used to let you watch them when you want, but apparently they changed their DRM server to use a different methodology. Naturally, since they switched, they took down the pages for the old DRM system. Now, everyone who bought a game in the past (hundreds of dollars in the above link's case) cannot watch their purchased games. The MLB's excuse is "they were a one-time purchase" so you only got the right to watch the game once, then if they prevent you from seeing it again, that is just normal.

This is one reason why DRM can get in the way of life. The MLB was so obsessed with two things, preventing people from stealing the game online and using the newest technologies that they forgot to take care of the one thing that probably should matter most, the viewers. In all likelyhood, they just decided that the online population merited such a small amount of their total income, it was worth alienating.
