Apparently, Lulu and Amazon decided to normalize the prices on Amazon. This includes my book, The Mummy's Girl (MG). So they don't have a 30% markup which then takes 40% off the top. I got an email about it, since I've been randomly selected for their beta program (I suspect "random" means "all" in this case, just not all at once).
I got my first royalties check for Lulu about two weeks ago. It basically doubles the money I made on the novel, which is awesome, but not nearly as high as my hopes and dreams quite got. I suspect the book is "okay" and I need to work harder, but I still love it.
I'm actually working on Dolcett Girls (DG) right now. Mainly splitting the chapters and cleaning up some of the formatting before I start editing through the 30+ chapters and fixing the one sub plot that I really, really hate.
Once I finish that, I'm sending the picture requests to Mamabliss, who will probably take half a year or more to work on it, and then I'll be adding that to the list. I think, this time, though I'm going to use A5 format instead of the size I used for MG. I like the narrower format, plus there is something about ISO paper sizes that get me all warm and fuzzy inside.
