Well, I started. In 2003, I got published for the first time with my novel,
The Mummy's Girl. After a year of struggle, the publisher stopped talking to me. I found out last year, they went out of business and didn't actually tell their authors. So, MG has been rotting on shelves for a few years when it was probably the most significant accomplishment of my writing career (both porn and not-porn).
Unbound Books got bought out by someone, so I figured I'd give them a chance. Since I haven't heard back from her in seven months, I decided two weeks ago to republish MG by myself. So, I cleaned up some of the typos and started juggling things around to get it ready for print. It is slightly more expensive than I hoped and the price will still be in the $13-14 range. The original list was $13.50 and I may keep with that price, it will give me about a $1 profit off each book. I haven't decided on PDF e-book. That would run about $2.50 to download a copy (I get the same amount of money regardless).
I already asked
Mamabliss to make me a cover for this book. I'll find out in the next couple of weeks if that is going to happen, and if so, what it will look like.
So, *deep breath* this is it. I'm going to do it, mainly because I want to see MG out in print and I want to be able to hold up the book and be proud of it. And... maybe get a bit more than 66 copies sold, 20 of which was Amazon screwing up my brother's order.
