A bit of depressing news on a law slammed through Congress over the weekend. I find it interesting that laws are presented to the floor at specific times to get the results that the presenter need. For example, the review period for the Patroit Act was not very long and this law was set up over the weekend. Its already known that most of our Congressmen don't really seem to show up for work at the Congress floor themselves, but I wonder how much of this is playing games by timing, location, and basically taking advantage of the situation to get questionable laws passed?
