This was a cool little article about someone who was actually got hit by the other enthusim of our internal forces and his settlement. The part I like is:

Mayfield said he wouldn't have settled if he had been barred from challenging the Patriot Act.

Despite what people say, trying to fight a law is expensive. If he uses even a tenth of what he gets (after taxes of course), he would really help fight against some of the nasty laws that were passed in a blind panic and by people abusing that far to get something rammed in without review.
