It is June, amazing things at that
« on: June 23, 2010, 06:34:49 PM »

So, I've been kind of bouncing in and out here. Mostly because I'm working on my "non-porn" novel and a few commissions. Plus the Smut Marathon, which is about to have round two on Sunday. I'll be begging for votes, of course, but I'll post then. Plus, I'll have a version for beta readers after I post this.

Not much really happened. The problem with writing "non-porn" is that I write slower. I really get into sex with demons and tentacles, so the stories come popping right now, flowing out on the floor. It is when I have to think about it that it slows down. That is the main reason I haven't finished the edit on Dolcett Girls or Derik's Luck also.

I just finished a sequel to Good Deal (hrm, apparently I haven't posted that either). Well, I need to get off my little ass and get the website updated. I just need to finish a few little program things before I can get the taxonomies working again, and then hopefully it won't take too much time.

I have another commission, by someone VERY patient, that I'm going to try getting done.

Other than that, not much going on. Writing and having fun being stressed out with all the things going on. Still trying to sell my house in Illinois, keep my job here (not too much danger) and find time to plays some snuff games.

*hugs*

Hey, we (well, mebbe just I) wanna know how Fluffy is, and how's that baby comin' along, hey.

Pretty good, but Fluffy is getting impatient at this point. Her belly has swollen up, nice and hard, and she's just getting to the point where her clothes won't fit, but she's going to muscle through the last few weeks.

Since Fluffy failed one of the sugar tests, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. So, like a magic switch (like my personal gripe with magic ages), it changes the entire pregnancy. Every time the doctor looks at her, they treat her like she's going to die or something. It just makes everything more stressful.

Plus, I'm on a high deductible health insurance. Because of stupid accounting rules, I've double-spent my deductible (nearly six grand) on this pregnancy, which added on top of that lovely stress.

Other than that, its going pretty good. Expected due date is Aug 22 but the doctor is going to induce around Aug 15.

What's her sugar like? Is she testing?
The doc can prescribe injectable insulin ... it ain't nothin to get bothered about, once she knows how to inject herself ... and don't you do it for her, neither ... you got too many pain issues to be trusted.
Mostly, just watch her carbs ... complex carbs rather than simple ... and modify her diet according to the tests ... she oughta be testing at least daily, since she doesn't have any history.
Watch the weight gain and keep it minimal ... it's the fats in the cells that inhibit the insulin action.
AND ... for later ... 8th and 9th months ... she's gonna start craving fats ... lots of 'em. Be sure she gets 'em, and real ones, too ... not chemical-vat stuff. That baby needs those fats at that time; he's building his brain, and fats have the energy needed for a structure like that. If you've ever held a brain, it's remarkably like a big ol' chunk of fat, but I'm not sure that has any relevance.

Hence the expression, "fathead", I suppose ... LOL

Yeah, we are managing through diet pretty well. Up until last week, she's been losing weight (she's a big girl) during the pregnancy. And the ultrasounds (because of the GD, she's getting them every few weeks) are coming back with a perfectly healthy baby boy (um... not sure how I'm going to handle *that*).

We've been having steak pretty often, mainly at her request. And I give her the fatty pieces, which she is enjoying (though medium done... bah, I prefer medium rare).

I get occasionally bouts of irrational fears, mainly because it isn't my body and she doesn't quite follow all the rules as the doctors give them. As a programmer, I have a tendency to treat rules as absolutes where she considers them suggestions.

Oh well, the doctor says everything is fine. We'll find out in 4 weeks.

It's important to monitor her glucose after pregnancy, at least for a while ... remember Buffy, from the DGF? ...She got gestational diabetes, but it never went away. She's still diabetic, years after.

Wow, that's kind of depressing. :P Just one more thing to add to my irrational fears, huh?

Oh, Buff's a case of all the curves reinforcing each other. I've never met anyone who's got more troubles of vanishingly small likelihoods. I'd put money on her being the champ.
She's probably used up all the bad luck.

Just take him to the whorehouse when he's fourteen! 8)

(No, on a more serious note - tell me about the considerations leading up to you two deciding to have a baby. It's much easier being gay where I'm from, society being less hard on you, yet still homosexuals over here (naturally including those of the female variety) don't often decide to enter the parenthood stadium. Maybe one in two dozen couples does... maybe less. So how's this with you? It can't be a matter of a ruptured condom...)

Fluffy's biological clock. :) And me fighting it for eight years.

Actually, the entire reason we moved to Iowa was to be with Fluffy's parents since they are good role models for the raising process. Plus, I love Iowa when I used to live here in '94-'97 and wanted to go back. So, the entire move to Iowa, my getting a job, and everything else was to set it up so Fluffy could get pregnant.

As for our relationship. Actually, Iowa is pretty open toward just about everyone. Poofy (the girl I dated before she married Fluffy) has 4 mothers and no father. Well, she has a biological one, but after some abuse and rape, they don't talk about him anymore. Her mother decided she would switch "over to the other side" as it were. Eventually, they broken up and each of those women married another woman.

Yes, I know I say married, but I don't view marriage by law or religious reasons any different than what is in the heart.

Poofy married Fluffy - and where did that leave you?

Well, I won't have to ask anymore why Fluffy was the one to become pregnant, and not you, the other female, though I wonder who'll have the second child...

Did you hire a local penis, ask a friend, or go to a clinic?

The threesome relationship was... interesting. Poofy and Fluffy got engaged when we were a threesome. They decided to move to MN and I stayed behind in IA before eventually returning to IL. Fluffy wasn't really happy with Poofy, good for sex and friendship, but their relationship... changed with marriage. Fluffy and I never really stopped being friends, so it was a logical progression a year later for her to leave Poofy and move in with me.

She always wanted the children, I'll take care of them, but I don't have the biological drive to want them. Despite what I write here, I have almost no physical sex drive of note. Even when it feels damn good, I still struggle to get into it (though once I'm into it, I really enjoy it). Coupled together, she'll be the bred one. :)

As for the doner of the "man butter", it was a relative.
