As I mentioned, I'm rediscovering golden oldies on youtube. Just had to share this, and felt it should go here.

The whitehaired lady recently published her autobiography... perhaps something for the list of books to read.

By the way, t'Sade, I'm not sure but I think she's one of the first celebrities to come out of the closet and publicly avow her lesbian leanings, at least in the US...

Lud, I still prefer Stars over At Seventeen, but both songs harmonize with our melancholy minds.

Lovely song, and emotional. And, true for me but then again, 17 was a really, really bad year for me.

Here's another song I love, that I think is related. Judy Collins' "Both Sides Now"....

yeah, yeah - I'm lost in nostalgia!  :D

Never cared much for the kid ... mebbe I was just too old.

But these will bring grins to your faces ... they're classics, and have all the clichés:

We had such beautiful music back then.  Music made by those who demanded social change.  Now they've gotten their social change - and most of the music is crap.

I think it is a matter of being passionate. Some people can be passionate about the cause of the week while others struggle for one thing and when they feel they achieve it, they are happy. And passion is what makes writers, singers, and everyone else really create beautiful things.
