Well, I bet you have this wonderful site that you want everyone to know about. And, you probably noticed that you can't actually add any new topics to this board. Well, that is the case for two reasons, both of them are based on spam. One, I want anyone who can post here to be established and known. I want to see posts, I want to make sure they fit the (small) community on the site and that the community understand who they are. The second is the "roadbump principle". I want to increase the difficulty of an unknown person to get on, throw up an ad, and never come back.
Now, for appropriate sites, I'm pretty willing to put up commercial links. I'd rather not be surprised by it (that happened once here), but I don't have advertising on this site. I don't use Google Ads, a built-in ad handler, or anything else. Actually, except for a few times, I don't ask for money either. I have this site because I think it helps the general community, gives authors a place to stow their writings, and generally to give me a chance to be with the friends in my life. That also means, I don't get money for these links.
Now, back to getting a link here. The best way is to create a post in the appropriate location (say Vore/Cann for a cann video site), put the name of the site in the title and maybe give an indication of what it is (blog, movies, comics) and if it is commercial (since the Internet is generally an apathetic crowd and doesn't spend money). If I think it fits (go ahead and PM me) then I'll move it over. The board itself is reply only, so I welcome people to check it out and "review" or post comments on it.
Side note, for people who do come on to post 1 post that is appropriate. I'll decide if I want to put it there or not, but I really recommend you ask one of the established people to "recommend" you or to PM me to talk about it. Yeah, I know we don't have a huge number of people going through here, but I still want to keep this part of the Internet neat and perverted/political.
Now, there are a few boards on this site that are post-count based. This is not one of them. I would make it, to automate it, but I haven't quite figured out how to get SMF to let me assign permissions based on posts. Until then, I'll be the one moving stuff in.
